FAQs
Questions about finding, advertising and renting through Domisure.
Clear answers about accounts, verification, listings, safety and how the marketplace is being built.
What is Domisure?
Domisure is a housing marketplace being built for people looking for rooms or homes and for landlords, resident landlords and professional property managers. Its focus is clearer verification, visible listing history and better moderation context.
Is Domisure only for the UK?
The service launches with the UK in mind, but the underlying platform is designed for multiple countries and languages so it can expand without rebuilding the core system.
Do I have to be 18 or older?
Yes. Domisure accounts are intended for adults aged 18 or over.
Why is two-factor authentication mandatory?
Housing accounts can contain personal information, conversations and verification status. Requiring authenticator-based 2FA gives every account a stronger security baseline.
What does “verified” mean on Domisure?
Domisure avoids one vague all-purpose verified badge. Identity, property and an advertiser's relationship to a property can be shown as separate checks so you can see what was actually verified. Read Verification explained for the detail.
Does verification guarantee that a rental is safe?
No. Verification reduces uncertainty, but it cannot guarantee another person's behaviour, the legal status of a tenancy or the suitability of a property. Domisure shows what was checked and provides reporting and moderation tools, while users must still make sensible rental decisions.
Can an advertiser change the rent after publishing?
Legitimate corrections and genuine changes can happen. Material changes are designed to be recorded and, in some situations, restricted or returned for review. Repeated or suspicious changes can affect an advertiser's trust or risk standing.
Will Domisure keep a history of listings?
Yes. Material listing changes are intended to remain traceable. This helps prevent an earlier offer from simply disappearing after a user has made contact.
Will I be able to save homes and searches?
Yes. Saved homes and search alerts are part of the account design. As the live listing module comes online, the dashboard will surface saved homes, availability changes and matching new listings.
How will flatmate matching work?
The matching approach is intended to focus on practical living preferences such as household atmosphere, working patterns, pets, smoking rules and move-in timing, while avoiding unnecessary sensitive profiling.
What should I do before paying money or agreeing to move in?
Check the property and advertiser information, understand what has and has not been verified, keep important terms in Domisure conversations where possible, and do not allow urgency to replace basic checks. Our safer renting guide gives a practical checklist.
Can I report a suspicious listing or user?
Yes. Reports are designed to stay connected to relevant listing versions, messages and account context. A report is a signal for review rather than automatic proof.
What if I lose access to my authenticator app?
Use the recovery codes created when 2FA is enrolled. Keep those codes somewhere secure and separate from your password. If recovery is no longer possible, account-support procedures will require stronger identity checks before security settings can be reset.
Does Domisure sell my personal data to advertisers?
No. Domisure's product direction is based on data minimisation and using account or verification data for the purposes needed to operate and protect the marketplace. The final privacy notice will describe processors, lawful bases and retention in detail before public launch.
What marketplace features are available right now?
Secure accounts, email verification, mandatory 2FA, live property and advert creation, publishing, search, listing detail/history and saved homes are available in this build. Flatmate profiles, saved-search alerts, messaging, viewings and full moderation workflows are still being enabled progressively.
